Previously on Westminster’s “Ugly London Building’s” list, Westbourne House was a tired office and retail mixed-use which had previously been refused planning consent.
Appointed as DM by a consortium of Middle East Investors, introduced to us by JR Capital this was also AG’s second collaboration with Stiff + Trevillion.
By working within the existing envelope of the building, the aim was to create 20 generous and luxurious residential apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms. AG was also granted consent to build an amazing duplex penthouse with private lift and unimpeded 360 degree views from a 1,386 ft2 terrace.
All the apartments are sold with record breaking area prices ranging from £1,250/ft2 - £2,350/ft2. As well as interior designing the development, Studio L staged three apartments as show flats which all sold at asking price.
A new retail unit was created on the ground floor and was sold as an investment to one of the largest developers in area. The other retail unit was occupied by Nat West, who remained in occupation throughout construction. AG sold this occupational lease as an investment.
The development has gone on to win "Best Residential Development in UK/Europe" and Studio L interior design work was shortlisted in the “Best Bathroom” category both accolades from The International Design & Architecture Awards in 2015.
