Planning consent granted - March 2017

In Oct 2015, AG was appointed to re-design a previously consented mixed use development called “Grand South” in Vauxhall’s exciting regeneration area.

Due to the successful collaboration and deliveries of previous projects, Studio L felt appointing award winning architects Stiff + Trevillion (S+T) was best suited for AG’s latest ambitious project.

Discerningly re-designed to improve efficiency and overall interior flow, an additional 82,000 ft2 of NSA was value added on top the previous consent without increasing its massing.

After extensive consultation with Lambeth Council and the local community, AG’s re-design was unanimously granted consent in March 2017. The stunning green and ivory glazed terracotta façade brings character and craftsmanship to an area saturated with glass and steel.

Now relaunched as “Belmont”, the development consists of a private, 36 storey tower with amenities including; gym, pool, sauna, spa treatment room, resident’s club room, children’s play room, parking and 11,000 ft2 of landscaped communal gardens.  There are also an 8- storey affordable housing & 5-storey office buildings plus public realm works. The team are aiming to achieve a BREEAM sustainability rating of “Excellent”.

The project team is currently working through RIBA stage 4 and a marketing suite is being installed in AG’s offices (by appointment). AG is currently looking for a development partner to take Belmont through the construction and delivery portion of the project.
